The Motochap is the personal practice of Christopher Johnson — motorcycle instructor educator, performance coach to a MotoAmerica AMA Pro, and founder of Washington's largest rider training organization.
“I learned to ride in Britain
and learned to teach in America. The Motochap is everything I wish someone had shown me — without the fluff.”
From your first throttle blip to chasing apex speed on a race weekend — three structured paths, one curriculum standard.

WMST Drive School — Washington state-certified driver education for new drivers and refresher students alike.
Three decades on the road took Christopher from British heavy-goods seats across European cities, through commercial fleet leadership at TNT, into the cab of a 75-foot lowboy in Seattle, and finally into the work he loves most — teaching people how to ride.
Founded in 2009 after securing the Washington State DOL motorcycle training contract, Washington Motorcycle Safety Training is now the largest motorcycle training organization in the state. He still writes the curriculum. Still trains the instructors. Still rides every day.
Technique. Gear. Road craft. Interviews with racing teams and rider clubs. Behind-the-scenes from the largest rider-training operation in the state — and the lessons that took a career to learn.
